What’s free in Ganba, forever
Ganba’s free tier is 100 N5 words and all of kana. There is no timer on it.
That means every hiragana and every katakana, 46 of each, with stroke order you can trace. It means 100 of the most common N5 words, with real example sentences written by people. It means the lock screen widget, so a word is there every time you pick up your phone. And it means five new words a day, which is enough to actually keep up with.
None of that expires. You can use it for a year and never pay.
What you get if you pay
The rest of the words. Ganba has 1,057, and paying unlocks all of them: the full N5 pack, the N4 pack and the casual and slang pack. You also get to raise the daily cap, up to 20 new words a day, and to choose how often the word on your lock screen changes.
That’s the whole list. There is nothing else locked.
The trial, in plain terms
The yearly plan starts with 14 days free. Everything unlocks on day one. Two days before the trial ends, Ganba reminds you. If you do nothing, it renews at $49.99 a year. If you cancel, you keep everything on this page, because it was never part of the trial.
Monthly is $4.99 and lifetime is $99.99, once, with no subscription. Neither has a trial and neither needs one. You cancel in your phone’s Settings, in two taps, and Ganba tells you so on the page where you buy.
